Before you ask
- Do my guests need to download an app?
- No. The invitation link opens a web page that works on any phone or computer. There is an Occasyn app for guests who want the event in their pocket, but it is entirely optional.
- Do my guests need to create an account?
- No. Their invitation link is their key. Once they have opened it, the event stays available to them without signing in again.
- Can I manage the event myself?
- Yes, and most of the running of it is yours. Once we have built the event you get a dashboard where you manage the guest list, track RSVPs, send reminders and announcements, edit the schedule, update the venue and upload the gallery. We keep the design work, the initial setup and anything structural, so you are never left holding a broken page the week of the event.
- Does this replace my event planner?
- No. Occasyn is the tool a planner runs the event with, not a substitute for one. Planners use it to keep guest lists straight, to stop chasing RSVPs by text message, and to reach every guest at once when something changes. The judgement, the relationships and the evening itself stay with the people who do this for a living.
- Is my guest list private?
- Always. Guest lists are never publicly accessible, private events are never indexed by search engines, and each guest can only ever see the event they were invited to.
- How far in advance should I get in touch?
- Four to six weeks is comfortable for most events. We can work faster than that, so ask us.
- What does it cost?
- It depends on the event. Our packages start at the prices above and every event gets an individual quote before anything is built.
